


Susan Kalra
Susan joined Mahamedi IP Law in 2017. She is the firm’s General Counsel. In addition, Susan’s practice focuses on counseling and representing primarily businesses and business owners in a wide range of pre-litigation and litigation matters such as employment disputes, trade secrets, contracts, corporate governance, partnership disputes, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, and copyright infringement. She also provides legal services in non-litigation matters including contract review, preparing contracts, preparing and updating employment-related documents such as employee handbooks and employment/independent contractor agreements, and entity formation and termination. Susan’s clients have owned and operated a variety of businesses such as technology companies, technology services providers, education providers, restaurants, motels, investment companies, and professional photography businesses.
Prior to joining Mahamedi IP Law, Susan began her legal career as a criminal defense attorney. She then worked as a litigation associate at Trial & Technology Law Group in Menlo Park, after which she opened a solo litigation firm. She also worked as a Senior Litigation Docketing Coordinator at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto.
Susan earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the state of California, and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California. Susan is an occasional speaker on docketing, civil procedure, and changes in the law.
